CARRERA BILINGÜE
ULACIT offers the only interdisciplinary bilingual business bachelor’s program in Central America. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in the increasingly internationalized global environment. The objective of the program is to give equal weight to all of the major business areas of economics, finance, management and marketing in an international context, and thereby to provide the students with a broad foundation of knowledge which is applicable to large and small organizations serving domestic as well as global markets.
Continuous changes in communications, transportation, technology, trade, and financial flows have significantly modified the concepts of time, distance, and markets. What happens in one country can have a great impact in the economies, politics, and markets of other parts of the world. The Bilingual Business Bachelor’s curriculum offers a versatile program of study for learning practical skills and specific knowledge that produces excellent candidates for a variety of business careers, including government agencies at the national and international level, multinational corporations, and international nongovernmental organizations. It is based on a curriculum designed to prepare students for a world that is increasingly international and technological, where skills, knowledge, and perspective are essential for success. The major emphasizes the development of quantitative, analytical, writing, presentation, language, and computer skills; it promotes knowledge of how business actually operates in global markets;and it gives students the ability to synthesize information and solve problems.
